Officer Heffington (left) has taken over from Officer Davis as Liberty’s SRO.
Officer Davis recently retired from being a School Resource Officer. She had been working in law enforcement for 26 years and been an SRO officer for 16 years.
The officer that will be taking over her role is Officer Heffington. He has been working in law enforcement for 9 years, and it is his first year as an SRO officer.
“This job will be very rewarding,” Officer Heffington said, “and getting to help and mentor the kids will be amazing.”
Officer Davis said it was one of the most rewarding jobs and she loved getting to see all the kids at their high and their lows.
