Panthers End On A High Note
The Liberty Panthers 7th grade baseball team finished on a high note this year with a 14-2 blowout against Collinsville on Sept. 12.
Braden Burns took the mound for the Panthers and dominated, allowing only two hits and one earned run. He was credited with the win.
“We did OK, but I feel like we could have done better,” Braden said.
The Collinsville pitching staff had a tough outing giving up 11 earned runs. They also went through three pitchers in the game.
The Panthers had it going on offense, tallying up eight hits and 10 RBIs. Ty Menossi and Blake Burns both had multi–RBI days at the plate.
The Collinsville offense couldn’t find a groove, only tallying two hits and one RBI. The Collinsville defense also had a tough game committing three errors.
The Panthers played good defense throughout the game, only committing two errors in the field.
The Panthers ended their season with a winning record of 6-5.
